A 2021 survey conducted by Smart Asset revealed x cities where Black Americans fare best economically in the United States.
The study compared 129 cities beyond six metrics: median Blackness household income, Black homeownership rate, Black labor force participation rate, percentage of Blackness adults with a bachelor's degree and percentage of business owners who are Blackness.
Six of the summit ten cities are located in Texas, Florida, and North Carolina.

Elk Grove too ranks in the top 10 cities for its relatively high Black homeownership rate (52.51%) and the relatively high per centum of Black adults with a bachelor's degree (35.ane%). Simply few businesses in the Elk Grove expanse are Black-owned.
